Endoscopic Discectomy is a surgery performed when the patient is suffering from disc herniation. The slipped disc compresses nerves, leading to back pain and radicular pain in the legs.
After going through the X-rays and MRI, if the disc herniation is significant enough it may warrant surgery.
This surgery is done under local anesthesia and the risks associated with it will be explained in detail before undergoing the procedure.
What is done during the surgery?
The surgery is done under local anesthesia. Using an endoscope, the disc compressing the nerves is removed.
