Squint Treatment

While some people acquire a squint later in life, others are born with one. They can run in families at times. A child's squint is frequently the result of the eye trying to correct a visual issue, such as short-sightedness, which is the inability to perceive objects that are far away. When a person's eyes do not align properly and instead focus in opposite directions, it is known as a squint or strabismus. Though it can happen at any age, it mostly affects kids. Other therapies including corrective lenses may be helpful. Both intermittent and continuous strabismus are possible. This usually happens as a result of dysfunction among the extraocular muscles, which regulate the movement of the eye and the eyelid. Consequently, both eyes can't focus on the same area at once. It can also result from brain damage or illness that affects how well the eyes work together. A person with constant strabismus loses their ability to see with both eyes together, which impairs their sense of depth.
